The Santa to the Sea is a non-profit event ( tax ID 26-3529617 ) that helps collect toys for Christmas for underprivileged children in Ventura County and also provides scholarships to local high school seniors and continuing students to attend Oxnard College. Not only can you run one of the best races around in Southern California but you get to make a difference in the community all on the same day! With your help, we were able to give away over 2,000 toys and gifts and 30 $500 scholarships for the fall 2011 semester. In 2011, we hope to double that number and we hope you will join us again in making our event such a huge success!

• All runners in all events will receive a collectable finisher's medal to show off to all
your friends and family.

• All events are USATF Certified and will be CHIP TIMED by Gemini.

• There is a 4 hour course limit for the Half Marathon.

• The Santa to the Sea is a verified GREEN event.

• We are also an official warm-up race for the LA Marathon.

• Race day photos will be provided by Kennedyphotoworks.com

Costume Contest

Once again we will be having our holiday costume contest!! In 2010 we had some amazing runners dressed up in great costumes and we hope more of you will show your holiday spirit and run in your finest holiday best!! Run like Rudolph, jog with your jingle bells on, or sprint as a Santa, be creative and the best costume wins
