Neigh­bor­hood Challenge

The Santa to the Sea ‘Neigh­bor­hood Chal­lenge’.  Our great neigh­bor­hoods and schools along the race route, com­pete for cash prizes, while cel­e­brat­ing the run­ners with fes­tive music, Hol­i­day dec­o­ra­tions, and cheer­lead­ers.

Cos­tume Contest

Santa to the Sea is offer­ing cash prizes to our run­ners with the best cos­tumes. In the past, they have designed very unique cos­tumes, and shown some real sta­mina while run­ning run­ning in these outfits.

Schlo­lar­ships

In 2010, Santa to the Sea part­nered with the Oxnard Col­lege Foun­da­tion to estab­lish the Santa to the Sea Schol­ar­ship Fund.  These schol­ar­ships are awarded to both deserv­ing high school stu­dents, and adults who are con­tin­u­ing their edu­ca­tion at Oxnard Col­lege. 

Six schol­ar­ships were awarded in that first year.  Fifty schol­ar­ships were awarded after our 2012 race.

Awards

All run­ners in the Half Marathon, Relay, and 5K, will receive a col­lec­table finisher’s medal and T-shirt. The 1K Kids Run fin­ish­ers will receive an assort­ment of smaller awards.

Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three male, and top three female, fin­ish­ers for the Half Marathon, 2 Per­son Relay and 5K. Age divi­sion awards will be given in the Half Marathon and 5K only.  Cash awards will be given for the top 3 fin­ish­ing Relay Teams.
